Dr Sajid Humayun BA Hons, PhD

Senior Lecturer in Psychology

Sajid Humayun joined the Department of Psychology, Social Work and Counselling in April 2015 as a Senior Lecturer in Psychology.

He is Lead for Psychology Pathways and module leader for Advanced Developmental Psychology and Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. He also teaches on the Introduction to Psychology course and on a number of other developmental and forensic psychology courses. He completed his PhD in Developmental Psychology at Goldsmiths College on imitation in toddlers in 2006.

Research / Scholarly interests

Sajid’s research interest include child criminal exploitation and the development of conduct problems and psychopathic traits, investigating both environmental influences, such as parenting, attachment and abuse, and individual differences, such as genetics and social cognitive biases. He evaluates interventions for delinquency, psychopathy, conduct problems and criminal exploitation and portability of evidence-based interventions into the UK.
