Dr Charlotte R. Stoner
Senior Lecturer in Psychology
Charlotte Stoner is currently a Senior Lecturer in Psychology, having joined the University of Greenwich as a Lecturer in Psychology in May 2020. Charlotte received her PhD from University College London (UCL) in 2017 and has previously held roles at UCL and North East London NHS Foundation Trust.
Her professional interests are in applied positive psychology approaches to dementia and neurodegenerative diseases including the development of outcome measures and psychosocial interventions.
Charlotte lectures on modules across levels 4, 5 and 6 on undergraduate psychology programmes, with a focus on Positive Psychology, and Psychopathology and Clinical Psychology.

Research / Scholarly interests
Charlotte’s research interests include the psychometrics, positive psychology and psychosocial interventions for people with dementia.
As part of her primary research, she develops and evaluates the quality of outcome measures rooted in positive psychology for people with dementia. Charlotte is particularly interested in:
-Hope and optimism
-Resilience
-Social independence
As secondary research, Charlotte is involved in psychosocial research including the evaluation of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) for people living with dementia in the UK and around the world.
