For schools and colleges

Application Evenings

We will guide attendees through the application process, provide tips on writing an effective personal statement and explain student finance and funding options

Please note that there are currently no events available on our campuses for the Autumn Term 2020/2021. Spring/Summer Term events will be reviewed and confirmed early 2021.

The Undergraduate Application Support Sessions are aimed at those who are interested in applying to study an undergraduate course at the University of Greenwich. These take place straight after Campus Tours at both our Greenwich and Medway Campus at various dates throughout the year.

We will guide you through the university application process (UCAS), provide you with tips on writing an effective personal statement and explain student finance and your funding options.

These sessions which happen straight after Campus Tours, will equip you with the knowledge and information you will need to complete your application to university.

The session will cover:

  • Your University Application Find out about the university application process (UCAS), including what relevant information you should include in each of the sections and how universities use your application to make an offer.
  • Your Personal Statement Learn about the tools and techniques that will assist you in writing an effective personal statement. Explain what Admission Tutors are looking for when reading your application and how to demonstrate your commitment to the course.
  • Your Finance Options Find out what financial support is available to you while studying at university, including the University of Greenwich's own Bursaries and Scholarships, and the repayment process.
  • Questions and Answers We understand the application process can seem daunting and that no one applicant is the same. At the end of the evening there will also be an opportunity for questions and answers with a qualified Careers Adviser and current University of Greenwich students.

Careers Strategy

The Government's Careers Strategy uses the Gatsby Benchmarks to set out a range of requirements that schools and colleges must meet. We have matched all of our activities to these, and this activity can support you with meeting benchmark 2 and 7.

Booking information

Suitable for individual bookings. View all upcoming Campus Tours below. Please tick the box at the bottom of the form to indicate that you would like to speak to an advisor about application support.

These sessions are for free and for UK undergraduate degree applicants. Parents and carers of applicants are also welcome to attend to gather information on how to support your child. If you are an international student looking for help and advice with your visa application, please contact our International Office who will be able to assist.

Attendance at this event does not guarantee your application will be successful.
